View and Share the New Careers in Correctional Health Video

NCCHC and the NCCHC Foundation have released a video highlighting the benefits of working as a health care professional in corrections. Share this video on social media and use it anywhere you have an audience of students or health care professionals who might be interested in this highly satisfying field.

The video features a number of dynamic professionals discussing why they chose to work in the field and why they find it rewarding. The speakers highlight the opportunities for advancement, the variety, and the ability to make a difference in people’s lives.

The video is the first in a series of four. The next video will highlight correctional nurses and was funded by a contribution to the NCCHC Foundation from Deborah Shelton, PhD, RN-C, CCHP. The next set will highlight correctional physicians and mental health providers.

Deborah Ross, CCHP, NCCHC CEO, said “The NCCHC Board has asked NCCHC to strategically support workforce development and new entrants to the field. This video is a partnership between NCCHC and the NCCHC Foundation and is the first step to attracting attention and interest. We hope everyone with a connection to an applicable college, university, or training program will make sure it’s seen by the next generation of health care professionals.”
