NCCHC Foundation to Award Up to 15 Scholarships for the National Conference on Correctional Health Care

The NCCHC Foundation will award scholarships for students and correctional health professionals who have three or less years of experience in the field to attend the NCCHC National Conference on Correctional Health Care, taking place October 19-23 in Las Vegas.

Completed applications are due no later than 12 pm (CDT) on June 21, 2024. Awardees will be notified the first week of August.

Each scholarship includes full conference registration, lodging (up to four nights), and air travel expenses, in addition to a mentoring introduction to a seasoned correctional health care professional.

“The support we receive from the field is critical for this program. This year, numerous individuals, plus Physician Correctional USA, Centurion, Falcon Correctional and Community Services, and YesCare gave money specifically for scholarships. We have doubled the number of scholarships provided in 2024 over 2023,” says Deborah Ross, NCCHC CEO. “This is a vital program to assure the future of correctional health care and to help attract new professionals to the field.”

The NCCHC Foundation has offered scholarships to each NCCHC conference since 2020, most recently bringing 13 students and early career professionals to the Spring Conference on Correctional Health Care. The Foundation thanks all of our generous donors. Learn more about partnering with the Foundation at www.ncchcfoundation.org
