CCHP Program Awards 560 Certifications in 2024

The CCHP program has released the list of newly certified correctional health professionals. With 111 professionals earning their CCHPs in the third quarter, the number of new CCHPs for 2024 totals 560. It is second only to 2023 in recent years.

In 2024, every specialty category tied or surpassed the number certified in 2023. Specialty certification was earned this quarter by nine mental health professional (CCHP-MH), two clinical providers (physician, PA, nurse practitioner – CCHP-CP), and 11 registered nurses (CCHP-RN).

Matissa Sammons, vice president of certification, commented, “We are grateful to the field for its support of these valued programs. This year, we are honored to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the CCHP-A program and the 10th anniversary of the CCHP-MH program. This longevity shows the continued importance of adherence to NCCHC Standards and the quality of patient care.”

The CCHP board of trustees congratulates them all. The certifications were effective October 1, 2024.
