NCCHC Board Adopts Strategic Priorities for 2024 – 2029

At its most recent meeting, the NCCHC Board of Representatives reviewed NCCHC’s progress, mission, and goals. The Board adopted the following strategic priorities:

Collaboration/Leadership

  • Work in partnership with others to build capacity through national initiatives.
  • Lead the field in correctional health care standards and expert resources.
  • Advance and improve patient care and safety.

Education

  • Develop and provide world class education in correctional health care.
  • Champion widely accessible education through online learning.
  • Support research that advances the fi eld and engages stakeholders.

Advocacy

  • Be the recognized voice for the correctional health care field.
  • Represent and advance the interests and wellbeing of patients, practitioners, and facility staff.
  • Promote corrections as a health care specialty.

Innovation and Growth

  • Foster and promote sustainable, efficient, and effective operations in the field.
  • Support the expanded use of technology in service delivery.
  • Optimize our assets and always act to ensure the future of NCCHC.

Deborah Ross, CCHP, CEO, noted “Our Board did a significant strategic planning process in 2020 and agreed that it was time to reevaluate our strategic direction against the evolving needs of the field. These priorities are adaptable and value-driven and will enhance clarity in both budgeting and performance metrics.”
