NCCHC Resources Managing Director Fred Meyer Elected to the Board of American Jail Association

Fred Meyer, MA, CJM, CCHP, will serve on the American Jail Association Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 term.

Mr. Meyer retired as deputy chief from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department with more than 25 years of jail experience. He recently served as AJA Parliamentarian. He was recognized as AJA’s Ray Coleman Administrator of Year in 2021, has served on a number of AJA committees, and is an instructor at the National Jail Leadership Command Academy.

Mr. Meyer is committed to supporting quality patient care and risk reduction, especially through the important relationship between custody and health care. He served on the NCCHC Standards and Accreditation Committee from 2018 – 2022

Mr. Meyer has been the managing director of NCCHC Resources since 2022. He is an NCCHC Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) and a Certified Jail Manager (CJM) from the AJA. He holds a master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas
