CCHP Program Has Best Quarter in History

Certified Correctional Health Professional status was attained by 207 individuals in the last quarter of 2023, representing the best quarter ever recorded. Specialty certification was earned by seven mental health professionals (CCHP-MH), seven clinical providers (physician, PA, nurse practitioner – CCHP-CP), and 13 registered nurses (CCHP-RN). Brian Murphy, MSN, MBA, CCHP-RN, CCHP-A, and Seth Stabinsky, MD, CCHP-CP, CCHP-A, received advanced certification (CCHP-A).

“We are delighted that the value of certification resonates with the field,” said Vice President of Certification Matissa Sammons, MA, CCHP. “We recently partnered with the Rhode Island Department of Corrections to do an in-house program of standards training and exams that certified 32 people. The event was well received and we plan to continue offering this valuable resource with other systems across the country.”

The CCHP board of trustees congratulates them all. The certifications were effective January 1, 2024.
