The NCCHC Foundation will award scholarships for students and correctional health professionals who have three or less years of experience in the field to attend the NCCHC Spring Conference on Correctional Health Care, taking place April 27-30 in St. Louis.  

Completed applications are due no later than 12 pm (CDT) on February 5, 2024. Awardees will be notified the week of March 4.

Each scholarship includes full conference registration, lodging (up to 3 nights), and air travel expenses, in addition to a mentoring introduction to a seasoned correctional health care professional.

“Due to a successful fundraising campaign matched by NCCHC in December 2023, we should be able to almost double the number of scholarships provided in 2024 over 2023,” says Deborah Ross, NCCHC CEO. Having early career professionals and students attend our programs gets them excited about the field, educates them on the importance of quality care, and introduces them to the amazing people working in correctional health care.”

The NCCHC Foundation has offered scholarships to each NCCHC virtual and in-person conference since 2020, most recently bringing 13 students and early career professionals to the National Conference on Correctional Health Care.
