Slides and Recording Available for Free Webinar on CDC Infectious Disease Recommendations

On September 1, NCCHC, in conjunction with the American Jail Association, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and National Sheriffs’ Association, presented a free webinar on the latest CDC recommendations for testing, vaccination, and treatment of HIV, viral hepatitis, TB, and STIs in correctional and detention settings. In addition to the recommendations, speakers from across the country discussed their application in jails and prisons.

This new resource summarizes testing, vaccination, and treatment recommendations for HIV, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and TB and highlights critical public health actions applicable at intake, during incarceration/ detention, and at release.
