NCCHC Foundation Offers Scholarships for Upcoming Mental Health Care Conference

The NCCHC Foundation will award scholarships for students and correctional health professionals who have three or less years of experience in the field to attend the NCCHC Correctional Health Mental Health Care Conference, taking place July 15-16 in Washington, DC.

Completed applications are due no later than 12 pm (CDT) on April 3, 2023. Awardees will be notified by May 25.

The NCCHC Foundation first offered scholarships for the Correctional Mental Health Care Conference in 2022. Six students and early career professionals from prisons, jails, and juvenile facilities traveled from around the country to participate. Winner Kristen Kastner, RN, was impressed with the “networking, empowerment, and emphasis on evidence-proven skills and tactics” at the conference.

The Scholarships will cover the full price of conference registration, a value of $460, plus travel and hotel expenses. Gifts are made possible by Centurion Health, YesCare, and other generous donors to the NCCHC Foundation.

The application portal is closed.
