Webinar: Behavioral Assessment: A Critical Strategy in Changing Problem Behaviors
May 30 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Many ineffective interventions are rooted in a misunderstanding of the causes that drive the behavior. To effectively change behavior, it is essential to accurately assess the problem. This webinar will teach the five components of functional behavioral assessment and how to elicit this information from a patient. Some of the biggest problems we – and our patients – encounter relate to the absence of desired or expected behaviors, for example treatment/medical noncompliance. The strategy for assessing, rather than assuming, the most salient obstacles and planning for success will also be discussed.
