NCCHC Foundation Has Awarded 32 Scholarships in 2022

The NCCHC Foundation continues to meet its goal of supporting students and early-career professionals in correctional health care. Five individuals were able to attend the Spring Conference on Correctional Health Care in Atlanta, 20 individuals were invited to participate in the Virtual Spring Conference, and six scholarships have now been awarded for the Correctional Mental Health Care Conference.

The NCCHC Foundation board selected the winners based on applications that included questions on how the conference would help them and why they are interested in correctional health care as a career. The Spring Conference winners included a nurse practitioner, a mental health therapist, a nurse, a social working getting her master’s degree, and an undergraduate student hoping to earn an MD and a PhD in health policy. You can hear from them in the video below and get inspired as much as we are. The future of correctional health care never looked better.

The scholarship application portal is open for the National Conference on Correctional Health Care until August 5, 2022.
